  2. Hi. My name is Angie Capel. I would like to be able to take dance lessons but unfortunately I do not have a partner. I want to learn many different dances and have fun along the way. Open to suggestions. Thank you. Angie Capel

  3. I realize dance – especially ballroom styles – comes with a long history and tradition, but have you worked much with same-sex couples, where a couple can learn the dances both in the traditional ways (for when dancing with others), but also in a way that the traditional male/female lead/follow roles are less rigidly defined?

    1. Hello Rick. Thank you for commenting and asking the question. We have worked with a variety of partnerships. When working with same- sex couples we would choose initially who is going to learn the lead and who is going to learn the follow part. That is the best way to start out so it will be clear and so both partners have a defined part. As you progress in your dancing and get more comfortable you could transition into what we call “liquid leading” where the lead and follow roles switch between partners seamlessly within a dance. Liquid leading is actually a really fun way to dance but can be confusing if learned to soon. Let me know if you have further questions.

  4. I am on the heavier side but I really want to dance, lose weight, and start competing in the next couple years. Do you have experience working with fluffy women?
